racial and ethnic groups

Growing up I was always around a mix of cultures and ethnicity. Not specifically in my high school because my high school was predominately white, but in the high school that my mother taught in. As a child I would go to visit my mom at school because she worked on the theater productions at night so I would hang out at rehearsals and get to know the students of Dwight Morrow High School. I would love to expand my knowledge of ethnic groups I did this as a child by always being friends with everyone and get to know their background but since college I haven't really had the chance and would love to work in a school like an abbott school for a little while so that I can experience what the children are going through in the poorer districts.

I feel the same way with wanting to work with different ethnic groups. I feel that there is so much that I could learn from them. I grew up in a very homogenous area and when I went to an abbott school to observe I realized how much I would love to have diversity in the classroom. I really feel that it is important for students to have diversity in their lives at a young age because that is the world we live in.

I am interested in working in an Abbott School as well. I think it would be a challenging experience that would have many rewards.
I grew up as well in a homogeneous area, but there where a lot of bumps in that road which opened my eyes to life (not on the greatest terms) and all different types of people. My past has taught me a lot.
